Matcha Tea 50gr
Matcha is more than just a tea — it's a wellness philosophy rooted in Japanese tradition. It's made from the finest green tea leaves, ground into a fine, vividly green powder. The plant is shade-grown for weeks before harvest, to preserve all its chlorophyll, theanine and antioxidants. The result is a drink with mild caffeine, a gentle "umami" flavor and strong health benefits.
Matcha is considered a superfood, thanks to its high concentration of antioxidants (EGCG), vitamins, minerals and amino acids.
Antioxidants: Protect cells from free radicals and boost the immune system.
L-theanine: Helps with relaxation and focus, without the jitters caused by coffee.
Caffeine: Provides gradual, steady energy, with no sudden crashes.
Chlorophyll: Helps detoxify the body and supports blood alkalinity.
Vitamins A, C, E, K and B-complex: Boost immunity and skin health.
Its combined benefits include better mental clarity, improved metabolism, immune support and natural detoxification.
There are two main ways to prepare it — the traditional Japanese method and the modern one, for latte-style drinks.
Traditional method
Ingredients:
1 tsp matcha
60–70 ml hot (not boiling) water (~80°C)
Instructions:
Sift the matcha powder into a bowl.
Add a little water and whisk with a special bamboo whisk (chasen) in an "M" motion until foam forms.
Add the rest of the water.
Matcha Latte (modern version)
Ingredients:
1 tsp matcha
2 tbsp hot water
200 ml plant-based or cow's milk
Optional: 1 tsp honey, agave syrup or coconut sugar
Method:
Dissolve the matcha in hot water and whisk until foam forms
Heat or froth the milk.
Combine the two and stir. You can also enjoy it as a cold latte using chilled milk and ice (iced matcha latte).
