Mint 50gr
Mint is one of the most popular and beloved plants, also called "idyosmos", with dozens of varieties. It's a shrub that grows white and purple flowers and broad leaves. It's a highly aromatic herb with a refreshing taste and an intense, pleasant scent.
Mint gives a cool sensation in the mouth, which is why the food industry widely uses it in chewing gum, candies, drinks and chocolates, and we also find it in toothpastes and mouthwashes. It's also used in cooking and pastry-making. It lends its aroma to lemonades, hot chocolate drinks, green and black teas, chocolate mousse, cakes, ice cream, granitas, truffles, milkshakes, puddings and creams. We make its syrup to drizzle over crepes, ice cream and pancakes. We also use mint to make infusions. Its brew has dark tones, an intense aroma and a delicate flavor. Steeping it in hot water for 5-10 minutes is the ideal time for its aroma to develop.
Steep mint leaves in a cup of hot water for 5-10 minutes. Strain, serve and enjoy.
Tips:
Always use fresh water, not water that has been sitting in the kettle or teapot for hours.
Don't leave the tea bag in the cup while drinking the mint infusion, as it will significantly alter the flavor.
Optionally, add your preferred sweetener.
Once made, you can also refrigerate it and enjoy it cold if you like.
