Damiana Dried Cut Leaves 50gr

Damiana (Turnera diffusa) is a low-growing plant with yellow flowers and aromatic leaves. It grows in Central and South America, Mexico and the Caribbean. The plant can reach up to 2 meters in height, while its leaves can reach up to 25 centimeters in length. The scent of its leaves is reminiscent of chamomile. Damiana is used as an ingredient in traditional Mexican liqueur.

The herb acts as a nerve tonic, antidepressant, urinary antiseptic and laxative. It has also been used as an aphrodisiac and bladder tonic.

In modern herbal medicine, Damiana is mainly used as a body tonic and to treat nervous disorders. Damiana may help in cases of intense anxiety, nervousness, lethargy, as well as mild forms of depression. Finally, Damiana may help lower blood sugar.

Preparing tea: Put 1 teaspoon of the dried herb in a cup of boiling water and let steep for 5-10 minutes before serving.

Drink up to 3 times a day.
